Things you need to know

We understand that preparing for an ophthamology appointment can be overwhelming, and you may have many questions about the process.

Here are some of the most common questions we receive from our patients, ensuring you feel confident and well-prepared for your visit.

Our goal is to make your experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. From the moment you schedule your appointment to the completion of your surgery. Frequently Asked Questions

As it is likely that your pupils will be dilated, we suggest that you bring some sunglasses and somebody to help you get home or take public transport, as your vision may be too blurry to drive.

You should also bring:

  • Your current spectacles
  • Valid referral from either an optometrist or doctor
  • List of your past medical problems
  • List of your current medications and allergies
  • Your medicare card
  • Your pension card, or private health insurance details

Please allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. This allows us to dilate your pupils so that you can be properly examined, and also allows you to have all of the testing and treatment (if necessary) that you require.

You will be assessed fully by an Ophthalmic Assessor followed by your consultation with your specialist.

We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS and cash. It is our practice’s policy that payment for your appointment is made on the day. All appointments are by prior arrangement only.

Murdoch

Perth Eye Clinic is conveniently located at the new purpose-built specialist Wexford Medical Centre in Suite 60. There is onsite parking and excellent public transport access to this Specialist Centre. You will find us on Level Three, turning left as you come out of the elevator. Perth Eye Clinic (Suite 60) is the second last Suite on the left.

Baldivis

Our second Perth Eye Clinic is located at Suite 7 of Baldivis Professional Centre. This suites located on the first floor. There is a lift and wheelchair access from the Safety Bay Road entrance. There is plenty of onsite parking.
